Nigeria artist Ayra Starr placed among vanguard rising Nigerian pop stars after her self-titled 2020 EP
“19 & Dangerous is classic in its own right,” Starr explains; “People will talk about it forever—and you know, I should make a deluxe so I can just close the chapter of my life. We’re entering a new phase now. This definitely still has some celestial energy, but in a way, with the deluxe, everything comes together. When you listen to 19 & Dangerous it’s kind of a story now—how I went from realising my worth to becoming a spiritual person.” Throughout the album, Ayra Starr remains bold and unapologetic, she showcases her vocal and emotional range as the mood on the project shifts from sunny to gloomy when her lyrics dictate. Ranging from R&B to pop, the deluxe edition gains an extra five tracks, with co-stars, including Kelly Rowland, Zinoleesky, Lojay, and Kayykilo.
